U.S. Commerce Association’s Award Plaque Honors the Achievement

WASHINGTON D.C., June 8, 2009 -- Swimming Pools By Ike Jr has been selected for the 2009 Best of Coral Springs Award in the Swimming Pools category by the U.S. Commerce Association (USCA).

The USCA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USCA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2009 USCA Award Program focused on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USCA and data provided by third parties.

This prestigious magazine is available at major newsstands, Barnes & Noble, Borders, Lowe's, The Home Depot and key airport clubs, such as US Airways, Delta and Continental.

Swimming Pools by Ike Jr. is the only pool contractor in Broward and Palm Beach County who was included in the Spring 2007 edition of this magazine.

"A profound understanding of the South Florida terrain and the types of pool environments that compliment the natural landscape is important. Our goal is to successfully incorporate owners’ style and design preferences into beautifully coordinated settings.   "The Jones family explained what they wanted: a beach entry, a spa and a natural lagoon-style appearance. We extended those desires to the shape and style of the home so a completely coordinated look would result. We examined the size and layout of the property to determine where to place the equipment so that it would be concealed yet easily accessible. Strategically placed landscaping helped us accomplish that goal. "The family enjoys entertaining, so it was important to allow ample space around the pool for outdoor parties and celebrations. They also have young children so the beach entry gives them an additional place to play in a safe water level, and it also serves as an easy access and exit from the pool. But we could not underestimate the enjoyment that adults would also gain from the pool. It has numerous functions and attractions, like the cave beneath the waterfall where they can sit and cool off beneath the falling water. Rock coping on each side accents this treatment. "The raised six-jet spa and three spillways are framed with raised planter beds. Colored lights illuminate the pool and spa, reflecting their colors off the Artistic Paver deck in a StonelockTM sandstone pattern. Flat planter beds and carefully placed rock formations border the entire setting. The landscape scheme is completed with lush foliage and enclosed by a property fence. "Because it is in Florida, the tropical touches of palm trees and plantings are also appropriate. The result is a calm environment that can also be a lot of fun. "Our goal with the Jones’ project, as it is with all of our design-build ventures, is to accommodate the customer in every way possible. It is their home, and our job is to insure that the poolscape we create exceeds their highest expectations so that they will have years of pleasure and enjoyment in their backyard."
